(MIAMI, FL.), December 3, 2009 – Las Brisas Huatulco has received the Certificate of Environmental Quality by PROFEPA, Mexico’s environmental enforcement agency, becoming the first hotel in Oaxaca's history to be certified as environmentally clean. Las Brisas Huatulco was awarded the certificate based on the quality and quantity of its water usage, its efficient use of electricity, fuel management, appropriate use of chemicals such as disinfectants, insecticides, and chlorine as well as the responsible management of its surrounding natural resources.
